Ice Skating for children may look like running on ice, but ice skating uses leg muscles in different ways than running does. Skating also requires less effort to get the “wind in your hair” feeling, although rounding the rink over the course of an hour-long public ice session can still be a great cardiac workout. How old you should be to start this?
I discover kids skating very well at two years old. Why and
how?
First of all because the parents took them to an Ice-skating
ring! Not only once, as many of us we try with our kids, but at least three
times. Somebody, used to tell me that I should always try new things for at
least three times before deciding if I like it or not!
So, do the same with the kids. Perseverance!
Teaching your kids to enjoy sports is a gift that we give them
for life. Healthy life style, beautiful ways of spending their time will keep
them away from any dangerous activities.

the TV.
Elegance, speed, beautiful costumes and like any sport lots
of hard work.
This is how kids learn to be ambitious, to concentrate, to
put passion in their activity and life in the future!
Ice skating is a Life Long Activity that can be practiced at
any age especially if you know it since you are very young. Ice skating
increases lower body strength by working the hamstring and quadriceps muscles.
Ice skating also improves bone density which, when combined with the correct
nutritional requirements, is important for growing children.
You'll also build up your abdominal and lower back muscles
while keeping your balance on the ice.
Ice skating is a great calorie burner, and depending on your
current body weight and effort on the ice, skaters can be as many as 760
calories an hour.
Being in itself an aerobic exercise just like walking,
running, and swimming, it offers positive effects for your cardiovascular
health.
Mental fitness is also enhanced with ice skating, as it
exercises ones mental control during the act. One needs to be very alert and
aware during skating. It is a de-stressor and a form of relaxation for many
individuals who use it as a means to break free from the stresses of life and
work.
