Hello everybody,
Pencils and paper, play-dough, brushes and paint, colors – make part of the most beautiful world of art that will impress any toddler and will give pleasure to children in every moment of their life. Trough colors and creation they will find satisfaction of their accomplishments, they will dream and imagine they will learn to think “outside the box”, how to solve problems creatively. Arthouse School of Art and Design is one of the right places that opens the perspective, plays with the imagination, teaches, introduce toddlers, children, teenagers and adults to the world of creation!
Arthouse, School of Art & Design, offers Art Lessons to children starting 4 years old. Children are helped to understand color and shapes in different ways. Good art lessons need some difficulty to be challenging, but need to be easy enough to avoid too much frustration. Art skills are things like: observational drawing, ability to make clay do what you want it to, ability to make tools and materials do what you want, and the ability to actively use the imagination.
Skills are learned by practicing.
The best lessons for Arthouse School are those that include practice training together with interest builders that motivate self-initiated skill practice. Some lessons might concentrate more on skill building, others may be designed to encourage imagination and creativity, and some may emphasize learning the design principles and art elements (structure of art). Some lessons may primarily teach students approaches to style. Every lesson can end with some art world and, or real world examples that review and build on the frame of reference provided by the lesson. In fact, one of best ways for a teacher to get a good lesson or unit idea is to take a great work of art and deconstruct the creative process and strategies used by the artist that created the work.
This evolves through the years and help children to be able to be creative in anything they do! This way learning to draw comes with a variety of developmental benefits for children. Drawing helps stimulate their imaginations, improve fine motor skills, exercise problem-solving strategies and can also help them gain confidence in their ability to master new crafts. Drawing teaches children to make decisions and can improve visual and perceptual skills as well.
Arthouse prepare students for school's final exams in Graphic Design and Perspective Drawing. Finally, they help students with their portfolio in order to enter UK Universities for any Art & Design Bachelor. Through research, practice and art history they are trained in order to create a portfolio ready to satisfy the need of any English University. The lessons are taught by Claire Stavrou, a Fine Art Graduate from the University of the West of England, Bristol, a wonderful young, gifted teacher that finds pleasure and patience for every student.
In an age when most children are too often drawn to screens , whether to watch television, text on cell phones, or play video games, art offers a chance for creativity and personal expression. "Draw" can also be a great answer for the age-old question, "What can I do? I'm bored!"
Stop asking yourself what to do with your child… and give him the best option!
Lots of sunny days from Izzy The Cypriot Lizard!
